Tips-Warnings-and-Things-You'll NEED For Search Engine Optimization

Tips<
  • When you post content on your website or YouTube or article content sites, be sure to keyword it accurately. Check Google for what the most common keyword for your topic is and put it in the title AND the "keywords" field.
  • Be wary of people you might meet on the internet, and avoid sharing too much personal information.
  • Don't neglect the potential for your pets to become stars. The fame of pets can be just as fun!
  • Make intelligent and thoughtful posts, and not only will others respect you, but they may like you and hold your name (or user name) in high regard. Many people may come to call you popular.
  • Don't get into pointless arguments. Whether you're right or wrong, getting into an argument is both irritating and disturbing on the internet. No one enjoys reading how right you are compared with the other person, or what his mom looks like. Be friendly.
  • Think about something that interests you, and search for it in an online search engine. You can find a message board or online community where you can converse with others about the topic.
  • Stay friendly to everyone who talks to you. Be friendly and reply to comments and messages left by other users.
  • Make a video about yourself or your talent, then post it on websites such as YouTube, and DropYourTalent.
  • Add and accept anyone. Your goal should be to target people of all groups and styles.
  • Be yourself, if you do become famous remember the real reasons as why you wanted to be well known. Don't get too big for your boots!
  • Use paid advertising if you think it's worth the price.
Warnings
  • Just as the internet technologies can make you famous, so too can they make you infamous or even despised. It's a world where anyone can post pictures, memories, comments, videos, stories, etc., and people do. You'll need to keep your radar switched on at all times and be ready to defend yourself where necessary, or to know when it's best to just let things slide rather than giving credence to the muck-raking they represent. Don't feed the trolls!
  • If you don't have something different from everyone else milling around online, you won't become famous. Also make sure you do not betray your friends and family TRYING to become famous.
  • Be prepared for other negatives of being famous, including a lack of privacy, and the potential for cyber-stalking or even real life stalking. Have as many precautions in place as possible to protect your personal life and family members from the glare of publicity. Don't give away too much personal information. This includes asking family members and friends before making them part of your aim for fame.
Things You'll Need
  • Internet access
  • A gimmick or more
  • Good quality content
  • Social networking accounts (as many as possible)
  • Self images as avatars and for profiles
  • Video camera
  • Camera
  • Photoshop and other computer programs for enhancing content

How to Become Famous on the Internet

Andy Warhol's 1968 quote that "In the future everyone will be world-famous for 15 minutes" is looking increasingly prophetic as the Internet age advances. Here are some ways in which you can become a web celebrity and have at least your 15 minutes of fame. Try it!

Learn the ins and outs of your computer. If you're still in the dark ages and you're relying on others to know how to manipulate everything on the computer while you just point and click, it's time to get net savvy. Get a couple of books, go online, and practice HTML. Be reassured that one day you're going to be able to change channels from ABC to CBS to social networks. Learn the basics so that when TV and the Internet truly become one, you'll be ready.

  • Knowing how to perfect website content yourself is an important part of creating and massaging your image. If you need to rely on other people to do this, it can be frustrating and might not turn out the way that you'd like it to.
  • If you haven't already done so, map out your personality profile for being online – the same awesome user name, the same awesome profile, etc., and you'll be able to cut and paste this everywhere once you've done the hard work on perfecting it at the outset.
Focus on what might make you famous. While fame and becoming famous can be an elusive concept, what have you got to offer other people that will set you above the online masses? There are some key elements that will help your quest:
    • You're fascinating, interesting, unusual, alluring, or unique. Much Internet fame is about working the "cult of personality".
    • You have something worth people's attention rather than being attention-seeking. What you have to offer readers and viewers is entertaining, enjoyable, and new (or presents a new way of looking at something age-old). It's about the information and entertainment, not about "Look at me!".
    • You're fantastic at connecting with people and bringing out their best or firing up their energies. You're affable, funny, or fun, and at ease in the online medium.
    • You're like a chameleon, able to gauge the changes in style and crowd moods to move with the times, updating and pushing the trends before you. Think Madonna of the Internet.
    • Most of all, you're able to get across all of the above in a screen environment. A tall order but very doable with the right frame of mind and approaches.

    Define your idea of "fame". Do you want to be famous everywhere for being an amazing personality, a tech goddess, or the most followed social butterfly? Or are you more focused, hoping to become famous for being the best in a particular area, such as being the best blogger on women's fashion, the best video creator of science fiction spoofs, the best nature photographer online, etc.? Determine your style of fame so that you can remain focused on your online purpose. The second kind of fame is more likely online because fame is more "intimate" than the fame of movies stars and other celebrities.
    • If you're wanting to earn a living from being famous online, remember that a lot of "Internet fame" leads to speaking engagements, books, and a following of people keen to trust your expertise.
    Check out Internet celebrities and famous phenomena. Learn what has worked for them and what sort of gimmicks, stunts, and brand portrayals they have used to good effect to increase and maintain their fame. YouTube has a lot of "Internet celebs", often consisting of people hoping Hollywood will take note. And there are famous bloggers, Tweeters, and Facebook contributors. Take a look at people who are famous in the areas that interest you most. Some examples:
    • Venetian Princess (YouTube), Community Channel (YouTube), Chris Pirillo (tech), Reg Saddler (@Zaibatsu on Twitter), Jimmy Wales (Wikipedia), iJustine (viral video comedienne), Perez Hilton (gossip blogger), Kyle Macdonald (the red paperclip trader), etc. See also Wikipedia's list of YouTube celebrities at:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_YouTube_personalities
    • LOLCats is an example of a phenomenon.
    • It's sometimes worth looking at real celebrities online, the successful, tech-inclined ones like Stephen Fry, to see what you can "borrow" or adapt. The trouble with doing this, however, is that they are already famous and don't have to do much online to prove anything!
    Expect your Internet quest for fame to require effort. If you want to be famous, be prepared to put in the hard yards. Working an hour a night and playing the rest of the day won't make you famous "just like that"! As well as being present, you'll need to create content of interest so that people have something to read or watch and enjoy. Do your best not to repeat the wheel, and definitely don't just cut and paste other people's content. Not only will your viewers have already read it but they'll be unimpressed by your laziness. That won't make you stand out online!
    • Be dedicated. If fame is what you want, make this your passion, your hobby, your raison d'être every spare moment. It isn't possible to ignore your online presence or people will forget you. Host chats, set up forums about yourself, hold a live video-link in to talk with others, update everything constantly, etc.
    • Be patient and persistent. It might take a while to be noticed or to hit that right viral moment. Don't give up though; becoming famous usually takes time as you're continuing to put in a lot of effort.
    • Be prepared to keep delivering what the people following you keep wanting! Be consistent and don't leave them waiting.
    • If you don't like the idea of having to be constantly available, don't seek internet fame!

    Publicize yourself. Publicize your IM screen names, URLs, and Net addresses everywhere and often, and reply to everyone. Treat the Web like your house: When people knock, be there to answer.
    • Use real photos of yourself for avatars and profiles. People will want to be reassured that they're connecting with the "real you". Remember that the brand is "you".
    • Social networking sites are the best, as many as possible. Try Buzznet, Facebook, Myspace, Bebo, Glogster, and anything related to whatever it is you're promoting, such as blogging, moms, geeks, greenies, etc. is also a good new one. Add everyone – you'll need to have at least 300 friends to help start spreading your existence and catapulting you to internet stardom.
    • Look for free pages with unlimited music, video, photo, etc., uploads, (whatever shows off your talents best) and find all the ways that these can then be connected to social networking apps. If it's a free resource, take advantage of it.
    • Work your social network sites hard. Whenever you open an account, put your mark on it by making the links to your other pages across the internet very evident and easy to navigate to.

    Get yourself spotted and transported around the Internet. Try to guest spots on blogs (especially the influential ones), and use web news aggregators such as Reddit, Slashdot, Fark, Digg, etc.

    Build a website with personality if you want to build a fan base. People need to feel that you - and not an anonymous webmaster - are personally available at least on a regular basis, if not daily. Make sure to update every single day, and remember: If it's not interesting, users will click to the next page and move on.
    • Update your site with new audio and video clips as often as you can. Give your visitors stuff! For example, give them video, streaming audio, images for their PSP, etc. If you want to offer rich content, you're going to have to spend a lot of time and a little bit of money, but it's worth it.

    Upload something that goes viral. Although it can be difficult to predict what will and won't rock the socks off viewers, give things a go and publicize them well. One great example of fame gained as a result of a viral video is the story of Christian the lion. The video of Christian the lion was originally posted on a fan site, three decades after making. From there, a MySpace user posted it to MySpace, then another person placed it on YouTube. The resulting views in the millions made internet stars of Christian and his two original owners, Australians John Rendall and Ace Bourke. From this experience, some things to consider include:
    • Find something that reaches out to people's hearts. A story that shows courage, strength, daring, and love will always have its place in people's hearts.
    • Find something that is interesting. Test it out on your friends, or in a forum, first to gauge people's reactions.
    • Think about who will get famous from this viral venture? Will it be you as the uploader and generator of interest? Will it be the people, creatures, or cause featured in the content you're uploading? Or perhaps, and optimally, all of you? While some of the answers are out of your control, if you want to be well-known as the person who set the viral item afire, ensure that you have an excellent launch-pad for it, such as a well written blog, an active Twitter account and a well-nourished Facebook. People will go looking for you if they know where to go.
Realize the fleeting nature of fame. Fame comes and goes. Even movie celebrities have their zenith and tumble into obscurity or have their downward spiral "problems" splashed across the tabloids or blog equivalents. It always comes back to working it constantly, staying fresh, and enchanting your readers, followers, and viewers. If you're up to it, you might be able to
maintain your online fame for a long while. Aim for fame of the sort that will cause you to be written up in the annals of Wikipedia, proving you've reached adequate notoriety. In this way, your fame will live on unassisted, unless someone deletes you, of course, but that's the Internet for you!

How to Create One Way Backlinks to Your Website

  • Submit articles based on your subject of expertise. You can submit articles to a variety of websites including Ezine and Squidoo. At the bottom of your article, add a resource box that describes you and links back to your website.
  • Find opportunities to guest blog about your area of expertise or your business. Search for keywords like "Submit Post," "Write for Us" or "Become a Contributor" to find sites on which you may be able to submit a guest blog. Also, look for relevant blogs within your niche and pitch an idea for a guest post.
  • Comment on blogs in your industry. Choose high-quality blogs and post relevant comments. In your comment, include a link back to your site.
  • Use PR networks. Some subscription services connect reporters and authors who need answers to specific questions with bloggers who can answer those questions. The reporter or author usually credits the blogger in the form of a backlink to the author's blog.
  • Submit videos related to your product or service. Choose popular sites like YouTube as well as sites that are unique to your industry. Link the videos back to your website or to relevant articles.
  • Open a Yahoo! Answers account.Answer questions related to your area of expertise and include a link in your answer.
  • Start a meme. Watch sites like Reddit or Twitter to determine what people are talking about around the world. Use Photoshop to add text to a picture commenting on the topic, and post the meme to your Facebook or Twitter account to see if it goes viral.
  • Submit your URL to link-building directories. Choose a generic directory like DMOZ or a directory that is unique to your industry. Follow submission instructions carefully for a better chance of acceptance.
  • Solicit product reviews. Offer free samples of your product to bloggers or other experts who will provide a review that links back to your website.
  • Engage in social bookmarking. For example, link to your blog and post the link on Reddit, Digg or StumbleUpon.
  • Submit RSS feed. submit RSS feed to RSS directories, the new posts on your site will be automatically get posted.

xcode Tutorial (how to create an Iphone app) for starters

Xcode

Xcode is an IDE (Integrated Development Environment), like Visual Studio .NET, NetBeans or Eclipse, created by apple. It is the main application of the suite with the same name.
Here is where we’ll write the code, compile, test, debug, etc, our application.
Open up Xcode and click File->New Project. It will display a “New Project” window. In the left list navigate to iPhone OS and click Application, then in the right menu, double click on “View-Based Application”, i’m going to explain what this is later when we talk about project templates.

Give a name to your project, mine is going to be XcodeTest.
The main window is going to show.

In the left side of this window is a list with some folders. Each folder represents a group of files that not necessarily have to exist in the real representation of the project in finder.

When the entire project is selected you can see all the files in the right list.

If you click one of the folders you’ll have a more filtered view in the right.

Usually developers are more interested in the “Classes” and “Resources” folders.
Clicking one of the files in classes it will show the content in the editor. You’ll realize the content is code. Surprised?. This “Classes” folder is the one that you are going to add files or modify the ones that already are there in order to develop your application.

You don’t have to understand this code yet, i’m going to talk more about it later.

Interface Builder

By now you may be thinking that i forgot to explain what is in the “Resources” folder, but i didn’t. I just delayed it.
If you go to the “Resources” folder you are going to find two files that have .xib as extension.

This “.xib” files store our user interface. Double click XcodeTestViewController.xib and it will bring Interface Builder.

Interface Builder is an application that comes with the Xcode suite. It’s purpose is to make your life easier when you create graphical user interfaces.
Most of the time it shows four windows that can be closed and open independently, so it is very easy for yours to look a little different from mine. But most of the time you will use this four windows:
The View window:

Here is where you see how your interface looks like.
The library window:

Here is where all the interface elements are, you can drag and drop them in the View window.
The Inspector window:

This window allow you to modify some properties of the interface elements you have in the View Window.
And The document window:

This window shows you some objects that the view window can not show, it lets you see objects that are within the code and it also serves a bridge between your UI elements and the implementation.
And yes, you can create an interface by code in xcode but it would be quite difficult. The prefered way to do it is with interface builder.
If the library or the inspector windows are not visible for you, you can open them by clicking Tools->Library and Tools->Inspector. If can’t see the View window you can open it by double clicking the View icon in the document window. If you close the document window, then you will have to double click your “.xib” file again to open it back.

The iPhone Simulator

The iPhone simulator is where you test your app without having an actual iPhone.
To launch it you just have to build and run your app. It can be done by clicking the hammer button in the top of the xcode window4

Xcode will compile, build some files, open the simulator and launch your app.

Right now it’s just a gray square because we haven’t added anything to it yet.
If you click the home button you’ll notice that it can do most of the things that the iphone does. But there are some other things that it can’t do because it does not have the hardware.
Some of them are:
It can not use the camera.
It does not have and accelerometer.
It can’t use the compass.
It doesn’t have a gyroscope.
If your application need any of this hardware you need to test it in a real iPhone, but in some cases you can simulate a few situations like:
- Rotate left
- Rotate Right
- Shake gesture.
Memory Warning.
A call.
TV out.
All of this can be done in the Hardware menu at your toolbar.

Objective-C

Objective-C was created by Stepstone in the early 1980s and it is an object-oriented extension to the C language.
If you copy C code and paste it in an Objective-C project it will run perfectly without any problem, Objective-C is C with some stuff added.
(The following examples and explanations are pure Objective-C, they won’t be focused on the iphone development but in the language itself. In order to test the codes that are going to be given you have to go to File->New project, click on Command Line Utility and select “Foundation Tool”)

Clases

If you open the “Classes” or “Sources” folder, depending of the project you are working on, you’ll realize there are couples of files that have the same name but different extensions. One “.h” and one “.m”.
The “.h” files are the header and “.m” files are the implementation. If you are a little lost, don’t worry. You will understand this better with an example.
Right-Click on Classes or Sources and select Add->New File…
The “New File” window will show up. Click on “Cocoa Touch Class” in the left and “Objective-C Class” in the right. Down you’ll see it says “Subclass of NSObject” this is the standard, all the classes inherits from NSObject class in Objective-C, like in Java all classes inherits from the Object class.

Click next. Give your class a name (I’m going to call it “Person”), and click finish.
Now we have two files. For me they are Person.h and Person.m.
The .h files has an interface, it starts with “@interface” and ends with “@end”. Here is where you say to the world how you are going to define your class. Inside the curly braces is where we define the variables and outside you define the public methods names and the parameters it is going to receive. Other kind of methods, like the private ones are defined in the implementation.
Let’s add a variable.
   @interface Person : NSObject {

 NSString *Name;

   }

   @end
I added a name which is a string. Now let’s add some behaviors (Remember, outside the curly braces).
   - (void) walk;
   - (void) setName: (NSString) a;
I typed a minus (-) sign because this is an instance level method, this are me mayority of the methods that we are going to use. If you see at any moment one with a plus (+) sing, that means it is a class level method. Within parenthesis i typed void because this is a procedure, it does not returns any value. The second procedure takes a value, we are going to talk about it when we talk about method specifically.
Your “.h” file should look like this:
   #import

   @interface Person : NSObject {

 NSString *Name;

   }

   - (void) walk;
   - (void) setName: (NSString *) a;

   @end

Methods

Open Person.m. Within the @implementation we are going to say what our methods do. Let’s add the methods.
   -(void) walk {

 NSLog(@"Hi, i'm @% and i'm walking",Name);

   }

   -(void) setName:(NSString *)a{

 Name = a;

   }
In the first method we use NSLog, it is a built in method, it is used to print out messages through the console. You can open it at Run->Console if you want to test this codes when we finish the tutorial.
The @% sign means that there goes a string variable, it is specified at the end of the line, in this case the name of the person.
The second method sets the value of the name to a. In Objective-C, parameters are not defined like most of other languages, it has to be done like you where talking to the computer. A better example of it could be this:
   -(void) CreateHouse:(NSString *)name withNumberOfDoors:(int)numDoors andWindowsColor:(NSString *)color;
After this your implementation file should look like this:
   #import "Person.h"

   @implementation Person

   -(void) walk {

 NSLog(@"Hi, i'm %@ and i'm walking",Name);

   }

   -(void) setName:(NSString *)a{

 Name = a;

   }

@end
Now Calling methods is very easy. You have to create an instance of the class and call the method you need. For example, if you are willing to test your code and you created a Command Line Utility with Foundation Tool, you are going to find a file that has the same name of your project in the “Source” folder. Open it.
There is the main function, it is the first that is called when the application start.
Let’s import the class we just created adding #import “Person.h” right after #import and erase everything within the main method except for the return command.
Now we create an instance of our class:
     Person *p = [Person new];
Then we set the name by calling a method. In Objective-C we call methods within [ ]:
    [p setName:@"Oscar"];
We are saying, object p set the name of the person to “Oscar”
And finally we call the walk method:
   [p walk];
Your main file should look like this:
   #import
   #import "Person.h"

   int main (int argc, const char * argv[]) {

 Person *p = [Person new];
 [p setName:@"Oscar"];

 [p walk];

        return 0;
   }
Now if you want to test it you have to go to Run->Console, and hit “Build and Run”

Conclusion

We have learned the very basics of Objective-C. In the next tutorial we are going to talk about memory management, delegation and we are going to build a basic iphone app start working with some interaction.

7 tricks to Make your mobile unreachable

There could be various situations when you don’t want to attend a call. The easiest situation is to switch off your mobile. But in some instances you may not want to realise people (like you Boss, GFs etc) that you are intentionally ignoring the calls. In that case you would like your operator to say “The mobile number you are calling is out of coverage area, please call back after some time.”
In other words you want to make your phone not reachable without switching off the phone.
There are number of tricks to achieve this. The only problem is that not all the tricks work for everyone. So you may need to try a number of tricks to identify which works best with your phone.

Tricks to make mobile not reachable

Trick 1: The most popular and well known trick is to pull out your battery without switching off the phone.
Trick 2: Remove the battery cover of your mobile. Dial a number and the moment it starts connecting, pull out the battery.
Trick 3: Put your mobile in Airplane/flight mode.
Trick 4: This one is another popular trick. Go to settings>Network settings>Network selection mode. You will get two options: Automatic and Manual. Click on manual and it will start searching for all the operators. Click on the name of any operator other than your actual operator. The mobile will show an error and will lose the network. Leave your mobile as it is. Press back button whenever you want your mobile to bring in a normal mode.
Trick 5: This trick includes heavy GPRS usage so its better to take a GPRS pack first. In this trick you will need to turn on GPRS and start downloading too many things at once. To do this start downloading different files from different browsers and apps simultaneously. This will make your phone unreachable.
Trick 6: Forward calls to a landline and remove the receiver of that landline from the cradle.
Trick 7: Search for a no network zone in your home. It could be a room in the basement or an iron locker. You will need to experiment a bit here.
Which trick worked for you? or do you know any other trick? Do share your opinions with us
