Facebook India has partnered with Fonetwish to bring facebook on every mobile phone without requiring any apps or even the Internet. Fonetwish is an USSD [Unstructured supplementry Data] based interactive service which brings the power of internet to every mobile phone.

Updating your status is completely free, but for other features, like posting on a wall, checking notifications, and adding friends. They may  charge Rs. 1/ day for unlimited usage.

How it works ?

All a user needs to do is dial *325# from their mobile handset and enter their Facebook username and password, after which one can access facebook Features. It uses USSD to transfer information from and to your mobile handset. Just like checking your mobile balance. See the image below:
