How To Disable The LOG OFF Option

Taking the previous example a step futher, it is also possible to prevent users from using logoff option (normally accesible through the Start Menu and Ctrl-Alt-Del) by simply following the below steps:

1. Open the local Group Policy Editor by clicking on the Start Orb button and typing gpedit.msc in the search option. This won't work in Home and Starter versions of Windows.

2. Browse to User Configuration > Adminitrative Templates > Start Menu and Taskbar and in the right pane double click on the Remove Log Off on the Start Menu and disable it.

3. Browse to User Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Ctrl+Alt+Del Options and in the right pane enable Remove Log Off.

4. Now You would have successfully managed to remove the LOG OFF option from both the start menu and also the Ctrl+Alt+Del Option.
